Puppy Dog

No we did not get one!!

Anyone that knows Emmy Cate knows how much she loves puppies .. much to the chagrin of her parents.  It’s not like we don’t like all dogs, we just don’t like dogs for us!  Our friends Jen and Dewi recently bought a puppy in Atlanta and drove down to pick him up.  They made a pit stop to show him off to EC before heading back up North, and he is a cute little guy named Radar.

Do Daddy Nana

… which translates into “Please sing the banana song with Daddy’s name inserted in it”.  And what is the banana song you may ask?  I don’t know what it’s really called but that’s what Emmy Cate calls it and it goes a little something like this:

“Daddy, Daddy, bo baddy, banana fana fo fatty, me my mo matty, Daddy!”

So can usually think up a bunch of friend’s and family member’s names to use, so the game gets repeated … “Do Mommy Nana” and on and on and on!

Her other favorite conversation to have goes as follows:

Something like a ball or toy will fall to the ground where she can’t see it and she’ll say:

“Where’d ball go?”

Then, holding up her arms with palms to the sky, she’ll say “I don’t know”

After searching for it and finding it, she says “Here it is.  I found it!”

She thinks it’s a game and will drop things and repeat!

And because it wouldn’t be a post without pictures, here are a couple of things from school.  The first is a pic up on a bulletin board in the hall to display artwork.  I thought it was funny how big she was cheesin’!!

It’s Dr. Seuss week at school and they are having different dress up days (today is crazy hat day), but my favorite was “Mismatch Day”.  I thought EC fit the part!

Yet Another ?Winter? Weekend

To celebrate the last weekend in February, we played golf, played at the park, took golf cart rides, wore short sleeves and shorts and did just about everything one would normally expect to do in February.  Oh wait.

The weather has been gorgeous for the past few weeks here, ranging from mid 60’s to mid 70’s and we are definitely not complaining!  Even though daylight savings is less than two weeks away and spring is just around the corner, it really has felt that way for a month now.  We hope March doesn’t bring too many wintery days.

So even though we did all of those things, I only have pictures from the indoor activities.  I had some embroidering to do for a friend, so I enlisted Emmy Cate’s help!

And because that wasn’t exciting enough, she decided to take off all of her clothes (she does this by herself with no help from us!) and tackle Daddy.  He was/is under the weather (again), so he didn’t mind and they spent some time cuddling on the floor!
